The towns of Flims (population 2,888), Laax (population 1,410) and Falera (population 568) are situated on a sunny terrace overlooking the wildly romantic Rhine valley. While German is predominantly spoken in Flims, Rhaeto-Romanic is the official language in Laax and Falera. Together the three communities cover an area of over 10,490 hectares.
